Natural Hardwood Charcoal
We make charcoal the old-fashioned way—by burning hardwood logs in a slow burning kiln. We use hardwoods such as Black Cherry and Sugar Maple to produce a high quality product. Our charcoal is the same today as it was a century ago, when “coaling” was a major industry in Vermont. In the old days this charcoal was used for everything from toothpaste and home heating to a deodorizer and an ingredient in gunpowder. Today our customers use it primarily for barbeque grilling. Unlike national brands, our charcoal contains no additives and is 100% natural. Charcoal is sold in 5 lb. bags.
